This privacy notice outlines the
privacy practices for the Chaser website, Chaser Slack
application and
the Chaser web dashboard.
Chaser is SOC 2 Type 2 Compliant. To request access to the report, visit
Chaser's Trust Center.
What information we collect
- The authentication tokens necessary to connect to Slack.
- Task information as specified by you, such as task title and due date.
- Name, Email and Slack user IDs as required to identify assignees on tasks.
- Non-sensitive configuration parameters as specified by you, such as frequency of reminders and working hours.

The landing page and website use cookies for web analytics and user experience optimization.
No Sale of Personal Information
We do not sell, rent, or otherwise provide your personal information to third-party vendors or entities for their marketing or commercial purposes. Your data is used solely to deliver our services and improve your experience.
Data retention
The data is retained until deletion is requested by the Slack workspace owner or
application is removed from Slack workspace, whichever happens sooner. It takes 35 days
to be completely removed from the rolling backups. Authentication tokens stored in
encrypted storage are removed within one business day.

Security
We implement Slack's security guidelines designed to protect against unauthorized access to services or use of the data we access;
- Chaser is a Slack Plugin that leverages Slack's SSO authentication.
- Chaser does not automatically store the contents of your Slack messages.
- Users can only view tasks in Slack channels they already joined and have access to.
Data collected to support operations is securely stored in an encrypted MongoDB Atlas
cluster, managed with best practices for security and reliability.
Our
engineering team has over a decade of experience ensuring security and compliance,
managing data infrastructure, and implementing change management controls in a public
U.S. company.
Third-Party services
The Chaser website, Slack application, and web dashboard are hosted on Microsoft Azure.
We rely on the standard leading cloud platform MongoDB Atlas for data management
We use Stripe as our payment processing vendor.
